Detentions
Detentions assigned through the offices of the administration
are served during the lunch period. In addition, individual
teachers may also assign detentions. Failure to stay for a
detention could result in ISS (In-school suspension), or in
chronic cases OSS (Out –of-school suspension). Teachers may
assign their own detentions after school. Parents should provide
students with appropriate funds to return home in the event of
being detained after school.
“School Community Service” duties may also be assigned by the
Administration. These duties include, for example, cleaning
cafeteria tables, washing desks, washing lockers, sweeping, etc.
